One of my favorite parts of Archer is that they could have easily kept Pam as the Meg Griffin esque punching bag but instead they turned her into a genuinely lovable character who everyone thinks of as their best friend, to the point where they’re willing to go on a murderous rampage when she’s insulted. That’s true relationship development.
